The eyes are the mirror of the soul – Yiddish proverb
The eye is the jewel of the body. – Henry David Thoreau
The eyes are the amulets of the mind. – William R. Alger
The eyes have one language everywhere – George Herbert
The eye sees a thing more clearly in dreams than the imagination awake. – Leonardo da Vinci
I’ve known my friend, L, for a bit over two years now. I can tell you about how tall she is and the color and length of her hair. I can tell you what shoes she prefers to wear, that she uses an iPhone and where she works. I could tell you quite a few things about her except for one – the color of her eyes. It wasn’t until the other day after having done a portrait session for her when I was looking at the uploaded pictures that I exclaimed “When did your eyes turn green?” Honestly, I would’ve told you they were dark like mine until this discovery. Now isn’t that interesting?
Guess that just goes to show you that even when you think you may know someone you may be missing out on something very obvious.

Thanks! This is actually a very very tight crop of a head shot of her. She may give me a stare when she finds out I put her eye up on the blog! LOL

You should’ve photo-shopped her eyes so they’d be blue. That would teach her for hiding her green eyes from you!
(Great shot, Teri!)

Ya nut! I talk to her so often and did not notice. I guess I was always going “Oooooooo! nice shoes!” LOL

Thank you. Capturing the catchlights in her eyes (or in this case eye) just made my day.
