Your picture is very mouthwatering indeed, you are very good at this macro food photography! :) I’m always a little confused about what English Muffins are, because we don’t eat English Muffins in England!!! We do have muffins, lovely deep cup cake things with chocolate chips and blueberries, but even they are relatively recent. I never even came across muffins when I was a child in the 70′s, and can remember asking my mum what a muffin was when I saw a recipe in an old cookery book. She told me they were a bit like fairy cakes (cup cakes) and they were an old fashioned recipe!

So we seem to have recovered from the lack of muffins in our country, and ‘fairy cakes’ is almost a dirty word now, has to be cup cakes today! What fairies had to do with little sponge cakes I don’t know, cup cakes is more sensible. But English Muffins – perhaps you could enlighten a perplexed English girl?

Well now you have me gobsmacked! Our English muffins sort of remind me of a crumpet (at least in shape and consistency – sort of) but that’s as far as I can go with it with explaining. Sorry :) But if I could make a scone the way my British mother in law can with jam and clotted cream I would be happy happy happy! Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

I need mines with butter…but not as much as Paula Deen uses just a spoon full. Love the pictures.
