Over the river and through the woods…

To get back home we go.  I really wanted to get a shot of this river (the Olentangy River in Columbus, Ohio) when it was all iced up but I didn’t get a chance to; it was very cool looking then (pun not intended).  The water is currently running freely and the levels are rising up the banks…which is way higher than it was this past summer when you could stand in the river and not even get your knees wet.

Glad to see the water levels picking up somewhere! It’s still dry out here. Nice shot; love the reflections.

Great shot, Teri! One of the branches of the Chicago River is about a mile from here. I love to watch it change with the seasons. We’ve finally gotten some snow but I’ve been to busy to check the river out. Tomorrow is the day!

Go for it! Personally I am finished with the cold, grey and snow. But the groundhog said I have to wait a little while longer – fooey!
