Just imagine the fragrances wafting into the air at this spice counter in the Grand Central Station grocery area (sorry, forget the true name)? It stopped me right in my “tracks” – bad pun – and I just had to inhale all of the wonderful smells of the spices of life. Don’t these images just make you think of what could you cook with these spices?
unbelievable. love spices, and trying new flavours.
I was totally caught off guard by it..and loved it! Thanks for stopping by
Have many shops like this in our country… I often just stand whilst Linda shops and enjoy the aromas…
I love spice shops. We don’t have any around where I am with them out and open like that but when I do visit one I just feel like cooking and baking everything!
And the colours.. fantastic! c
Not something you’d expect in a train station that’s for sure! t
Oh, how wonderful. I love playing around with spices. Wish I had one of those stores nearby!
But don’t you move around a lot? 🙂 I would love a shop like this nearby too.
Yes, we do get around but we still have a home base in So. Colorado…a rather small town. I’ll need to look for a spice store when we’re traveling near cities…note to self !!!
So pretty.. it makes me want to dip my hands in the bowls of spice and play:)
What? Not make cookies? 🙂 🙂
Not.. yet:D
All of your photographs are absolutely gorgeous! You have the eye.
Four of them when I wear my glasses – LOL. Thank you so much for the compliment and for stopping by.
Now that’s a gorgeous picture – I can smell the spices by just looking at it – thank you!
You’re welcome! The smells were just amazing.
Wiping drool from keyboard now…
Great photos!!!
Doesn’t looking at these make you want to cook something? 🙂
Yes, yes, yes, I want to cook something and eat it now! I think spices are one of the great bounties of the Earth. Also, you can make anything look appealing with your photographic eye. Way to go, TD.
I was just amazed that the spices were just out there like that instead of in jars or some other containers. It did make them much more photogenic and of course the smells….ahhhh!
I love all the colours and textures shown in your spices photos – i think i need to cook something spicy for dinner tonight now!! 🙂
I hated I was in a hotel at the time and couldn’t use any of them! 🙂
