Daylight savings time is over and even though we gained an hour the biological clock is still looking at me sideways and saying “Huh? We are just coming out of a medicine and illness induced fog and now you put us in a time lapse?” Or something along those lines. I am still on the mend but slowly coming back into the land of the living. Then again with the elections being tomorrow maybe I want to go back into that fog..but we shall not broach that subject; too too tempestuous. It is currently 39 degrees outside now and when I looked out the back window I was greeted to a glistening view of frost everywhere. Yep! It’s a cold day in November.
Frost can be very pretty but this morning all it made me want to do is pull my robe tighter and go get a nice hot cup of tea or coffee. It made me think it is time to get out the heavier sweaters and the corduroys and possibly even the puffer jackets and coats. To me the best part of cooler temperatures is getting to wear my boots – I like my boots. Alas poor temperate temperatures, I knew ye well and miss ye greatly! But circle of life and seasons and blah blah blah. I salute you who think cold and winter are the best things since sliced bread but the last time it was one of my favorite things was when I was in elementary school and it meant snow and sledding and school days off.
I hope and pray that those effected by Sandy get their power back soon or can find someplace to stay that is warm. Another weather system is predicted to come up the east coast later this week – not good!
I still don’t know what kind of tree this is.
