Orchids in holiday hue

Orchid epidendrum – aren’t they just perfect in their red and green for the holidays?

F 11 – 1/50 – ISO 3200 – 100mm macro

And with this post – I have completed NaBloPoMo, a post per day in November!!  Popping the cork on the champagne bottle so that we all can partake of some virtual Mimosas.

Totally love this color! I actually bought a poinsettia that had some shades of this hue in it! I am glad you completed your challenge. Way to go!

  4. Wonderful image. The colors give a 3-D effect. Did you use an editing/enhancing program or filter? If so, which did you use?

  5. No filters. All I did was shoot in raw, adjusted levels and saturation a bit and used a define and sharpen action to finish it.

Really beautiful choice, Teri, for the holidays. Our local grower had a big sale over Thanksgiving but i didn’t have time to get to it. I’ll still make my annual pilgrimage in January. Best I leave my wallet in the car, though. It really is too tempting.

  8. What a lovely color it is!
