Four-Leaf Clover
I know a place where the sun is like gold,
And the cherry blooms burst with snow,
And down underneath is the loveliest nook,
Where the four-leaf clovers grow.
One leaf is for hope, and one is for faith,
And one is for love, you know,
And God put another in for luck—
If you search, you will find where they grow.
But you must have hope, and you must have faith,
You must love and be strong – and so—
If you work, if you wait, you will find the place
Where the four-leaf clovers grow.
Please hurry up won’t you Spring!!!
Forgot to mention, this was taken last Summer.
Take your time spring … take your time… we don’t want autumn…
Hurry hurry hurry up Spring! Autumn isn’t that bad compared to this weather we’ve been having! It’s snowing again!
It’s on it’s way. 😉 That looks like a wild garlic or onion bloom, very pretty and nice shot.
I’m pretty sure it was a clover flower but getting down in the grass for the shot who knows! I’m starting to feel Spring has forsaken us.
Wild onion and garlic are some of the first signs of spring. If you don’t have to travel far to get to it again and if the bloom is on a long stem, crush the stem and smell. You will get the fragrance of either if that is what it is.
Thanks for the tip but I should put in the post that I took this picture last year – whoops!
Doesn’t matter, it’s still a pretty photo and flower. 😉
Great shot, Teri. March starts tomorrow. Spring won’t be far behind.
Thanks and we can only hope!
Yes, yes, yes, I want Spring, now, pleeeeaaaaassse! I do so hate winter. I loved your poem (so sweet) and I swear I could smell the flower. Hope springs eternal. Thanks TD.
Hope springs eternal but Spring is taking it’s time springing…sigh. Soon come. Sometimes I make my own poetry and other times I research like crazy to find the right fit 🙂
