Guess what? Snow…again.

They were forecasting the storm and when it would hit.  People dashed out to get gasoline (I did as I was running on fumes almost) and groceries and then waited..and waited….and waited.  We all chuckled as we thought that maybe it would go elsewhere or not be as much as they predicted.  And then it hit!  Late last night I heard the tink tink tink of sleet hitting the window, which then turned to fat juicy wet snow drops, and then there was this noise that I recognized as not being a good thing!  There was this deep electrical rumble, a big flash of blue and then no lights.  But the lights flickered back – hooray! And then the noise, blue flash and light out for good.

DH chuckled about it while I worried how long it would take for them to fix things considering the snow was falling fast and furious by this time.  We found our flashlights and trundled off to sleep.  Somewhere in the middle of the night the electrical fairies came and restored power.  Thankfully we did not have to test the hypothesis of which is easier to manage in without power – heat or cold.  Here are a few pictures I took this morning showing how pretty the snow is on the trees and about (plus or minus) how many inches we got.  Shoveling will ensue….

Hope your morning is a good one whatever your weather.
