Foreground to Background

Sometimes an accident can lead to something pretty cool!  In this case I was looking for some pictures and pulled the original monochrome version of this one up; a snowy and icy stream running through a local park.  I meant to hit something else in my panel (can’t recall what now) when I accidentally clicked gradient map and the first box which was foreground to background.  I was pleasantly surprised by the resulting image.  What do you think?

It may not be on a scale with discovering penicillin, Teri, but it is a neat effect. I’m anxious to see how else you’ll apply it.

You should be teaching a class.

  3. These happy accidents are the best! I’ve actually learned a thing or two by clicking on something that I didn’t mean to. It does give a very interesting result – very artistic!! 🙂
