Papago Park in Phoenix, Arizona is located near the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Garden and the hole in the rock. You can hike, climb, photograph your heart out (wink wink), grill, picnic, fish (fish? in the desert?) and feed the duckies and other water fowl. An awful lot to do before it gets too hot I would say. I would never have imagined fishing and ducks swimming around this area with all of the cactus and palm trees but like an oasis in the desert here’s this little pond where there were people fishing, hanging around, feeding the ducks – and one very happy photographer and her sherpa 😉
As cute as the baby duckies were, the guy with the curled tail feather was my favorite. Dude had duck swagger!
Neato…an oasis! There certainly is a lot of cool stuff to do in Phoenix. And they have sherpas too!
No…I have sherpa 😉 But there is a lot to do in Phoenix and we didn’t even get near a lot of it.
Loved this post… nice area to investigate…
Thanks. You will be pleased to know that coming tomorrow there will be talking birds from this park 🙂
Lived there 8 years and never went. Guess I’ll have to vacation to see what I missed!
We all do that in the places we’ve lived in for a long time…time for you to catch up 😉
Yes, Mr. Curly Tail is all that!
Yes he is! lol
Poor drake. A cowlick can be so embarrassing.
Looks like a great park to visit throughout the year. Thanks, Teri.
Shouldn’t that be a ducklick? LOL
