I can dream about you.      Dream a little dream of me.      Sweet dreams are made of these.      Dream weaver.      Dream on.      If I can dream.      Dream lover.      Dream baby.      All I have to do is dream.

These are just a few of the many songs about dreams and dreaming.  Do you remember your dreams? I do sometimes.  Do you dream in monochrome or color?  It has been said that when we dream we have let our inhibitions and guards down and our minds are free to just go wild and do their things.  Or maybe it was that late night slice of cold pepperoni pizza that was the creator of that dream.

Do our dreams help us answer questions, solve problems, tell the future?  There are all sorts of dream interpretation books out there that aim to tell you what dreaming of talking fish in top hats means.  There is even an old wives tale that said if you dream of water, or was it fish, then somebody you know is pregnant and some say that those who have passed on can come back and speak to us in our dreams.   Whatever they are and wherever they come from, dreams (not nightmares – we don’t like them) are good to have be they the kind you have when asleep or dreams for the future.

May all of your dreams be sweet ones…

I was going to stay up a while longer and read a few more posts but you’ve convinced me to quit now and devote the remainder of my night to some extensive dream research. Night-night! 🙂

I don’t normally remember my dreams but the ones that I do, foretell something…sometimes good and sometimes not, but it’s a gift passed on by my grandmother.
