Back in June when we were in Philadelphia for Comic-Con, we would go walking through the local area site seeing as well as looking for places to eat. We had just left a sushi place on the day these photos were taken (and I wished we had waited and gone to some place else) when there before me was all of the goings on of the area. People working, people going home from work with their bags of either dinner already prepared or the ingredients for the nights dining; it was a whirl of sites, sounds, smells and people. We had fun reading menus in windows. I chickened out on one Malaysian place to eat – the menu was a bit too traditional for me and I thanked the man who let me read the menu and left. I wish we had gone back to try another place to eat while we were there but after some long days at the convention I was too worn out to walk far.
Next time for sure!
One place we never got to when we visited Phillie… so much we wanted to do, just so little time we had to do it in…
And that’s why you have to come back 🙂
Was briefly there at the end of June when we made a wrong turn in the rental car, leaving Philadelphia, and ended up in Chinatown!
Missed you by 3 weeks 🙂 Did you have fun though getting lost?
Just recently I visited our own Chinatown and wondered why I’d been away so long. No matter the city, Chinatown is always a great place to tour. Phillie’s sure looks like it was.
I missed yours when I was there last but have been to this one and the one in D.C. I may be visiting another one soon – maybe.
Yes, there are a few good restaurants there.
Wish we had gone to one instead of that sushi place 😦
Wow does this bring back memories. We used to go down there at least twice a month on Friday nights. I wonder if the place we used to go to is still there.
Twice a month? Lucky you!
