Sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation. This show was huge! And rest assured unless I am not in town for it in future years, I will be going back. The show celebrated the 110th anniversary of the Buick, the 60th of the Chevy Corvette, the 50th of the Buick Riviera and the 50th of the Lamborghini. There was a cruise-in one day that I wasn’t able to attend which featured more than 1500 cars with judging and awards of 6ft tall trophies. The day I went there were 40 classes of cars on display along with specialty classes and, well, more vehicles in one spot than I’ve ever seen and even though we were there for at least 3 hours – we did NOT see all of them!
It was walk, photograph, walk, coo over a car and talk with the very proud (and rightly so) owners, take a dare to see if I could get in and out of a 1925 Stutz 693 Roadster – I slid in and out with ease to the applause of those around – listen to the band and line up for an ice cold drink. It was fantastic! Here are a few views of some of the car categories; you know more will be coming 🙂
A jaw dropping show by the looks of it… what a wonderful share… thanks…
You’re welcome…and to think there were two big shows like this on the same weekend!
Wow, plenty of eye candy here!
And this was just a 1/4 of the candy shop. It was a beautiful thing. When did I become a car fan? LOL
I love those car shows.. there’s something about a car just all polished up and immaculate.. a far cry from my own muddy mess:) Great photographs!
Thanks! Such shine and polish I’ve never seen before 🙂 It was awesome. I’ve never had a vehicle even when new as spotless as some of these beauties.
Oh just so much yumminess here in this post♥
Oh my yes!!!!
That is some car show!! I can’t wait to see more photos! Being a car guy, I love the older cars, especially the muscle cars of the sixties, and the ‘new muscle’ that’s being produced today. Thank you for sharing these great images, and your experience there!
Happy to share and happy you enjoy 🙂
WOWZERS! That’s a lot of cars! It looks overwhelming but awesome at the same time! My husband and son would love this . . .those classic cars are just so cool. I love the nostalgia factor, transports (no pun intended 😉 you back to another time. Great photo’s!
Thanks. There were just so many cars and this is only a sample of the categories. All of you would’ve had a blast.
I love these classic car shows!
You name the car and it was probably there!
Now THAT was a car show! I can see why you’ll be returning every year, Teri. I bet most people do.
I met a few who had. Next year I’ll know to wear a hat and use sunscreen 🙂
