We interrupt your regularly scheduled car postings for this from the micro farm – I MADE PESTO – for the very first time. This year the herbs in the micro farm are going hog wild and I’ve had to harvest the chives, lemon balm and basil several times already and today I got two cucumbers. I’m about to be up to my knees in cayenne peppers as well. A little plant food and lots of rain and…well take a look. Thanks go out to my friend John from the Bartolini kitchens for the recipe.
You may now return to reading the car show posts 🙂
Love pesto slathered on a piece of crusty bread!
That would’ve been next had we not finished it off 😉
oh, I can smell the fresh pesto now!
Pondering making a Greek salad with the cukes now 🙂
oooohhhh yes!
What, no recipe….lol. Guess I’ll head on over to John’s blog to get it. I follow him anyway as well. I’m trying to focus these days on healthy eating and cooking. With the move, we were eating way too much junk. Thanks for a little fresh inspiration 🙂
No problem and the link goes to the recipe. Just showing John some link luv. You wild and crazy kids need to watch your diets 🙂
I feel the luv! Thanks, Teri, for the shout out. I use pesto in and on just about anything. Sandwiches, chicken breasts & thighs, soups, fish, you name it. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of uses, too, as Summer progresses. 🙂
I was so excited when I made it I just had to tell you 🙂
I’ll have you making ravioli before you know it!
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves now 😉
