This store in Boston on Newbury Street caught my attention with all of the antique sewing machines in the window; this is a window display! The store is a British fashion retailer headquartered in – you guessed it – Spitalfields, London, UK. They sell men and women’s clothing and I wish I had gone in there to see. I’ve read it’s supposed to be quite interesting and nice. Next time for sure.
(These shots were taken at night while strolling down Newbury St.)
Funny that you would post this photo today….I’ve spent the last two days in front of a sewing machine making new window treatments for the RV. My how the machines have changed over the years. Unique display!
Aren’t those machines just amazing! Happy sewing to you.
Love the antique sewing machines! What an interesting display!!
Very unique display. I could just see my grandmother having sewn on one of these.
That surely would catch my eye. Very unique.
I wish I had gone in to get shots from the other side, close up, etc. 🙂
Wow, I still have an old sewing machine (60’s) but not quite as old as these.
I think my sewing machine is from the 60’s too. These are classics!
I have got to say that is the coolest window display I have ever seen. Your photos at night really do it justice! Well done!!!
It stopped me in my tracks when I saw it. Way cool!
Such a fantastic picture 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Nicely done, Teri. Where ever did they find so many antique sewing machines?
Now there’s a question for you! And they were all pretty darn pristine as far as I could see.
Great display , great photos! Sara
Best window display I’ve ever seen! Thanks
Great window display and fabulous photos!
Thanks 🙂
Great photos! I love these old singer sewing machines, I have one myself that I inherited from my grandmother.
How wonderful! I used to want one that had the foot pedal but then I opted out for a modern one instead.
What a cool sight! No wonder you were compelled to memorialize this find. I think the BW is my favorite, but the color shots are evocative, too.
Thank you 🙂
