Taking the DH tour of his old stomping grounds we disembarked the red line and popped up in Harvard Square. It was a busy and very interesting place with people milling about – locals, students, parents, protesters – places to eat and shop, the Harvard Coop (where the books and supplies and apparel are sold), and the parts of the town that aren’t school related.
- Harvard Building
- Harvard Yard
- Security
- Shop with magazines in different languages
- Harvard Square old and new
- Where student stickers go
Did you buy a harvard tee shirt in the newspaper bookstore? I still love to wear mine.
Oh heavens no! That would’ve been mutiny! We later went to the MIT coop where I bought a MIT shirt and hat. I married a MIT man 🙂
I understand…my daughter went to Notre Dame…and didn’t think it was too funny with the Harvard shirt♥
You were in trouble!!!!! lol
Neat photos and I love the one of the Harvard classroom building. It’s cool you guys got to spend so much time touring the city. When Dh was taking you on the tour, did he speak like Thurston Howell lll ?
ROFL!!!! No, no he didn’t but I did hear some “interesting” stories about dorm life when he was at MIT.
Must have beed a great afternoon, just strolling about. So many history makers did the very same thing while attending Harvard through the years.
It was fun seeing what was new to me and what was once upon a time with DH
Very nice shot of the Classroom building – something about red brick.
The brownstones up there are fantastic!!!
