With it now being September, that means back to work and school for everyone; the unofficial end of summer has arrived. Bah humbug! So I’ve decided to revisit some of the fun places I visited during these past summer months. This week I’m heading back to Arizona and this one place – Bischoffs at the Park. This was the second time that we visited Scottsdale, Arizona and the second time I was attracted to this shop. And the second time I didn’t go in but at least on this visit I went completely around the building noticing all of the amazing sculptures. This one was done by the artist, Elk Woman, from the Hidatsa and Mandan nation.

Wow that sculpture is just the coolest! Looks like there is a bunch of neat stuff around the building!
Around that building and within a few blocks in this part of Old Scottsdale is just too cool to look at. This week will be more of the metal sculptures 🙂
It’s still a tad bit too hot there for us. We’re waiting until Oct. 1st. Scottsdale is a pretty cool place to visit….enjoy!
We’ve been twice and I imagine there will be more visits there but I really want to go back to Sedona.
Understandable….there’s something special about Sedona.
That is an amazing sculpture…I am going to show it to my girls tomorrow!-Ashley
Stay tuned for more this week. The fact that metal has been made to convey movement without it moving is just awesome! Thanks
We actually thought about moving to Arizona for retirement – such a beautiful state.
It is beautiful but in the summer? Oppressively hot! But that is in the central to southern bits.
Fantastic sculpture, Teri. I’d love to see more of the artist’s work. Do you know who created this piece?
No idea but I might just look it up or even give them a call. I don’t recall seeing any plates with identifying info but I may have been too busy looking at the art to see.
