I would’ve loved to have been present to watch the artist create this beautiful piece. I just spoke with the store and can now happily say that the artist is Elk Woman who now resides in the Phoenix, Arizona area. She is from the Hidatsa and Mandan nations and also has smaller alabaster and bronze items in the store. I am even more impressed and determined to go into the store next time we visit!

Beautiful!
Beautiful art comes in so many forms 🙂
Me, too! Isn’t it amazing that the artist was able to convey such movement and expression in the horse’s face? Beautiful! –Lisa
Fantastic work of art. I can just imagine torches and metal cutters…and bandages probably.
Wow this is truly a magnificent piece of art…
When I see amazing art like this it inspires me to push further with mine. Can you imagine how long it may have taken to make this? Wow
A lot of detail for the eye…great capture! How fun is it to have a tool that can capture the worlds beauty?
I could go back and walk around this sculpture and STILL probably find bits of it to “see”.
Whoever is responsible for putting these works out on public display should be praised. The pieces you’ve shown us so far are really beautiful, Teri. Thank you.
Bischoffs at the Park is the name of the store and they just told me the names and info about the artists. Updating the posts now!
Wow this is remarkable!
Isn’t it though! Such beauty and talent.
Gorgeous.
My hat – so well-made! In my country we have this kind of art in many places. We have a special name for these: ITE-art, meaning self-made -life. One elderly lady makes these:
