Veteran’s Day, Remembrance Day, Poppy Day or whatever you may call it is the day when we remember those who have served, are serving, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their respective countries. This day is not about if you are for or against whatever conflict there may be, it is about the men and women in those uniforms.
They deserve our respect, support and thanks. I thank those who serve and have served. I thank those who care for our wounded and sick service people in hospitals and veterans homes. And I thank all those groups of girl and boy scouts and church groups who go out to the military cemeteries and place flags on their graves…my grandfather, father, brother and nephew appreciate them.

Could not agree with what you said more. We owe every vet a debt of gratitude.-Ashley
Indeed we do!
Yes, Thank A Vet. It’s strange because I didn’t see any Vets last weekend selling Poppy Flowers which I usually do, but it’s only the older ones…I guess they are passing on and there aren’t any younger ones interested in taking their places.
You know you’re right! I used to see the old guys selling the paper poppies in grocery stores and all over but haven’t in a long time now. Back then I didn’t understand, now I do.
Yes, guess the younger vets aren’t interested in taking their place.
Amen.
A great post, Teri.
Thank you.
