Since these photos were taken the weather has taken a turn for the less autumn like and more wintery. Wind has blown and rain has fallen; snow is being predicted now. So that means these scenes are now more of leaves on the ground and barren trees towards the sky. But on this day it was beautiful in Highbanks Metro Park.
Onto the path, through the woods, down the steps towards the bridge (the bridge were I took this picture) and then down the hill to the stream to take a picture of the bridge from a different point of view.

wonderful photo set!
Thank you.
nice pictures
Thanks
Ooooh, love these. That bridge is beautiful. I never would have been down there to see it from that perspective. I’m glad you caught it. (and I wouldn’t have realized it was where the other photo was taken, but when I saw that I thought “of course!”) –Lisa
The park officials really don’t like people going down there as it is stomping around the bits of nature they don’t want you to (stay on the path and all that) but you know us photographers 😉 Thanks
A wonderful walk!
And scramble up and down that hill to get to the stream. 🙂
Most excellent set of pictures, TD. Love the bridge one. Most of our leaves are blown off the trees and we are expecting a couple of flurries. Sigh. You remind me to be grateful for the beauty of Autumn.
As I type this I look out of my window at snow! Get ready for it, E! Autumn was usurped by winter and I am not amused!!!!
Wow what a lovely place indeed! I bet you spend a lot of time here…I know I would! We had snow flurries this morning and it was super windy also. Things have calmed down now so I guess this was a taste of what is in store.
This park is huge but great to explore and I still haven’t seen all of it! I think we have an inch maybe two out there but mostly on trees and grass. Roads seem to be ok. Bring back autumn!!!
A landscape of dreams…beautiful!!
It is a lovely park to commune with nature in 🙂
Wonderful photos! I especially like the last: very fine composition.
You have no idea how many shots I took of it before settling on this one. Then again…I may post one or two of the others at a later date 🙂
