I don’t recall seeing any plaques on this one and I’ve been unable to research anything on it but from the looks of it I just bet it’s something historical. I was immediately drawn to it by the mere size of it and how ornate it is (look at the window trim, the roofing, and I think it has six chimneys!) but when DH said “Hey look! Copper drain pipes and gutters” I had to get across the street and get closer. I really wanted to – for some reason – go up and touch the drain pipes but I didn’t think the owners would take too kindly to an obsessed photographer poking her finger at their home.
It is yet another stunner in this village and I wish I had done a 360 around it to take photos but again that could’ve been misinterpreted as trespassing 🙂 So it was just shots from the street and my peeking through one window to see the fantastic front parlor with it’s hardwood floors and piano. Outstanding!

Beaut…
They don’t make them like this anymore…well not without costing an arm and a leg 😉
I love the arched bay window area. Gorgeous home. I’d like a parlor with a piano! –Lisa
And all I can play is Chopsticks 🙂
Wow a beautiful stately home. I bet it’s gorgeous inside with all the period trim and moldings. Like you said…they don’t build them like this anymore!
But can you just imagine the upkeep? I mean the guttering and pipes alone!

What a beauty, Teri! I hope it’s well cared for inside, too.
