Well, it’s not a sleigh that’s for sure! There were four horses giving carriage rides this day and it was a nice change of pace to hear their hooves clip clopping instead of car and motorcycle engines going by (although they were there too). Made the historic area just a little bit more “historic.” And the driver looked quite snappy too!

Love the sound their hooves make on stone…
It was/is a great sound.
It’s so pretty…and the driver does look snappy!! It’s not a sleigh, but close enough!! –Lisa
And at the time not as cold as a sleigh in the snow.
I love the sound of horses hooves on the pavement also. It’s nice to slow down in this fast paced world. I can imagine what a ride would be like at night time with snow flurries, a warm blanket, and a thermos of hot chocolate! Oh…and a bag of those roasted chestnuts too!!!
They did have blankets.
Everyone should take a carriage ride at least once as a child and again as an adult. It’s a wonderful thing.
