There is a fantastic blog and book called Humans of New York by Brandon Stanton which chronicles through photography and writing the people of New York. How he does it and how he has done it (by that I mean does he need print releases, how does he pick the person, does he get snarled at ever, etc.) astounds me and I wish I could do something like that but I am just a bit shy and I wouldn’t want others to think that I was biting off his style.
But I do think it’s a grand idea for posts showcasing the street photography I have done here and there. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…or something like that. So my series for this week will be Los Personas de Key West. And what better way to start it than to bring back my favorite person – Mr. Chapman. Keep on pedaling, my man!
Doing what makes you happy does make others happy!
And Mr. Chapman has got to be one happy guy! He made me smile that’s for sure.
I think it’s a great idea Teri…remember…it’s all been done before so I wouldn’t be concerned with “biting off his style.” You could do a series of the folks in your town. I bet there are some interesting folks there.
And I know a few of them! LOL But I wouldn’t even know how to begin. Will have to mull it around.
It’s a great idea for a series of posts, Teri. Glad you’ve decided to give it your own flair.
Thank you. I’m still mulling around some other ideas like it.
