Well, if there’s a part 1 then naturally there must be a part 2 🙂 Part 2 is all about plant life. Living, dying, and dead…there is beauty in all stages of a plants life and when shown in black and white I believe the circle of life comes through in a way that color sometimes misses. With color your eye, I believe, is first and foremost drawn in by the color of the plant. But when the image is in monochrome your eye is drawn to the details such as shadows, textures and shapes.
What do you think?
Wonderful set~
Thank you.
Very true that monochrome brings out the details. Nice selection again.
Amazing what our eyes pick up depending on the colors. Thanks
Reblogged this on Photos That Inspire Words.
🙂
Impressive! I love the first one – Wet Daisy and the Tulip…all of them is beautiful!
Thank you, Indah 🙂
You are so right… B&W does change the perspective of the photo some of which is lost in colour….
Thank you. Our eyes are amazing in what they pick up aren’t they?
Absolutely wonderful B&Ws. Awesome!
Thank you so much 🙂
These are stunning shots! I love black and white photography ❤
Thank you 🙂
Doesn’t it seem that black/white adds character to a photo, maybe a little mystery?
Good point. I think the lack of color causes your mind/imagination to work a bit harder.
Just lovely.
Thank you 🙂
I just found your blog. Lovely life story, I plan to move away from home in a few years as well, although I have no idea where it will lead. 🙂 I love your photos – I’m definitely following you now!
I’m completely new to WordPress, unknown and all, but this is a place I’ll happily return to again 🙂
Welcome and thank you.
How beautiful, Teri! My personal fave is the wooded stream. The B&W makes the shot so much more special.
Thanks, John. Those dead trees really went all “eerie” when I converted the image to black and white 🙂
Beautiful – every single one of them! I love the contrast and detail shown in each one. Great job! 🙂
Thanks 🙂 Good to see you again.
