Royal Purple

The sun was almost directly overhead by the time I found these flowers and I decided – what the heck!  I tried my hand at the Sunny 16 rule.  I think it turned out well even if I didn’t follow the rule to the letter (I had the ISO higher than the rule states).  But as is the nature of natural light, one click and the image was great, the next click because a cloud went by or the wind blew some tree branches overhead, the rule didn’t come out as well.  Live and learn.
