Iris Memories Part 2 – Monochromed

I was going to wait to post this until next week but then I realized I have my first portrait shoot since I broke the wee bone scheduled this Sunday and then a big family get together later next week…so I’m posting it today 🙂 You could say this was a wonderful case of serendipity because I was going through the rose park pictures when I decided to just experiment with converting to black and white to see what would happen.

Some conversions just did not work while others – like this one – just hit the mark.  The original color image of these irises was posted here.  I think they both stand equally well on their own; I can just see the monochrome one printed out and in a black frame.  Can’t you?
