Union Terminal in Cincinnati – now the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal – was opened in 1933 when traveling by rail was still highly prevalent. After the decline of railroad travel most of the building was re-purposed as a museum and theater; rebuilt in 1980. It is a marvelous example of days gone by and the art deco architecture is stunning. But for those of us a bit on the nerdy side, the outside of the terminal was used as the model for the DC Comics Hall of Justice drawn by Al Gmuer. This is the huge clock on the outside of the terminal. Not sure if it works or not.
