Even though I did see a few hesitant faces before they took that first splat, the hesitation soon gave way to “Let’s do that again!” For the under 18 obstacle course, there were rope swings that ended in a pool of muddy water, slides that ended in a pool of muddy water, pools of muddy water for whatever reason, tire obstacles, and more! Safety was always tantamount as there were volunteers in and around each mud activity to keep the young ones safe and to occasionally hose down the obstacles and children as well as keep the mud from hardening.
Some participants were determined to get as muddy as a human could get while others were a bit more demure about it. I can’t even begin to imagine how people got back home, the laundry cycles, and the soap and shampoo it took to get people clean again.

This really looks like such FUN — said from the relatively clean safety of my home. 🙂
Come over to the muddy side! muah hah ha! 🙂
If I’d been there …. I probably would have. 🙂 Did you??? 😉
I so wanted to but I had the camera and she must be protected at all cost!
I hear ya on that.. Looks tempting but yeah protecting the camera would have been my first priority too!
You should’ve seen me hugging it close to me when I was maneuvering through muddy people to get the shots. And thankful for lens hoods when I got splashed by a sprinkler!
While it kind of made me shudder (all that laundry!!), I loved these. My girls would have SO MUCH FUN doing that! :)-Ashley
Oh you know you would’ve been right in there with them 😉
