Tabris not Tardis

When I walked towards this beautiful rose I had to do a double take.  At first I gasped thinking that they had named a rose after the vehicle that the Doctor travels in in Doctor Who, but it was just my eyes playing tricks on me.  Tabris is a floribunda rose that, as you can see, is as a white rose edged with pink and red.  I still think it would be fantastic if there was a rose named after a character from Doctor Who…but that’s just the Whovian fan girl in me 😉

Did I happen to mention that I’ve met two of the Doctors? Insert fan girl squeal here.

I’m fan-girl squealing because I follow a blogger who has met two of the Doctors. How’s that for silly?! 🙂

Have you googled a specific character’s name? You would be surprised at the names chosen for roses. I’ve got a few myself. 🙂

Those are beautiful, with or without the odd name.
