It’s the last day of summer…

There’s a chill in the air, the children are back in school, and the swimming pools have all closed.  Now instead of looking forward to picnics and the 4th of July there are Halloween costumes and even – gasp – Christmas decorations in some stores (they are ridiculous with how early they put these things out!) But it was fun while it lasted to ride the carousel and wave to your loved ones as you rode round and round.

The Central Park Carousel in New York will be closing in October for the season but during this past summer it was wonderful to be there.
