It’s the first day of autumn…

Well, at least here on my side of the globe it is.  While I know to everything there is a season, I feel a bit extra melancholy to see summer go this year.  My late spring happened with a bang (and a broken bone which severely cut into my awesome summer sandal wearing time) and my summer was filled with busy busy busy, not enough time for fun, and some extremely stressful moments.  Autumn is beautiful because the leaves all turn such beautiful colors, the pumpkin returns as pie, ice cream, cookies, bread and more;  and the temperatures cool down which makes being outside and sleeping with the windows open much more enjoyable.

I will miss the bees, flowers, swimming pools, sundresses, sandals, and basking in the sun but it is what it is and how it should be.  Now if I could just skip over the next season it would be great because I am NOT a fan of that cold season that shall not be named 😉

  2. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Generally not too cold except for maybe the early morning hours. But the afternoon makes up for that. The unnamed season between fall and spring was brutal here in the northeast last year so I am really hoping that we don’t see a repeat! What I also like about Autumn is that I can finally stop wearing polos to work and style it up just a bit lol.

  3. Ah yes, the leaves are all ready turning…and dropping.

  4. I am with ya sis, not looking forward to a visit from old man winter!!!
