Fall berries on unknown plant and Ooops! I did it again :(

I was strolling through a local park trying to capture the last hurrahs of the season (last year that is) when the colors of these berries against the vivid green leaves caught my eye and well you know what happened next – click!  Now what about the Ooops part?  I have injured myself again 😦  Nothing is broken, hopefully, other than the skin and I did not have to be taken to the ER as before but in pain I am!

DH and I went out to eat and while getting ready to sit down at this long high top table, I swung my leg around to sit down and rammed my knee cap directly into a steel beam…with gusto.  While DH was busy asking me was I OK I was grimacing in severe pain torn between being bent over and wanting to rip out DH’s tongue so he would stop asking me was I alright.  Eventually I managed to grunt out some manner of response before I slowly became human again.  After lunch I hobbled out and we returned home.  So much for looking for mums for the front of the house.

So as I type this I am sitting here with my leg elevated and an ice bag on it.  I’m glad I was wearing jeans at the time.  Sigh…

I hope the knee repairs quickly… but I’m sure DH wanted to say “why don’t you look what you’re doing?” but like all men, the question of “Are you alright?” seldom ends in a snot clap as the recipient is too busy with her own pain…. this is a man thing…

  6. YIKES. I could feel that unpleasant adrenaline spike just reading about it. Quick recovery, T! xo

  7. Gorgeous photo! Hope your knee is okay! 🙂

  9. The clarity of the berries is surreal…hope you are on the mend by now. Ouch!
