This night the weather was not very pleasant but that didn’t stop us intrepid folks from going to the comic-con as well as to a huge Halloween party; both being held in the same convention center. Had it not been cold, rainy and very windy I would’ve been out capturing some of the “interesting” costumes that were heading to the party that night – and some of them were far more “interesting” and in a few cases far more revealing than the comic con costumes. Instead I returned to the hotel to stay dry and warm. It was while making our way to our room that I looked out one of the windows there on the 10th floor and had to capture the moment.
The large window was dotted with raindrops as well as reflecting the lights from the hallway but with a bit of changing my position at the window I captured this…the lights and life of High Street in downtown Columbus, Ohio on Halloween night.
“far more revealing”… yep that would have had me drooling at your photos….
Naughty naughty! You would’ve loved the mermaid then.
I doubt that anything short of a massive earthquake or tidal wave would have kept you all from attending Comic-Con, Teri. Great shot from your room’s window. Columbus rarely looks better. 🙂
High Street is my fave hangout when I go into Columbus. It is amazing there 🙂
What a great shot of the city- glad you had fun despite the dreary weather.
Thanks. Only went outside to get food otherwise the hotel was connected to the convention center 🙂
What a PERFECT image. And of course you knew it the moment you spied it.
And …. happy 1001 post! 🙂
Thank you and thank you 🙂
Love the composition! Your eyes want to follow the road as it dissapears from the photograph 🙂
Yep! 🙂
Sounds like fun despite the weather.
Not walking around outside but the rest was great!
Well, its atmospheric for those in appropriate costume. 🙂
Key word being appropriate…which a lot weren’t! 😉
That photo is truly gorgeous–the light and the dark…the raindrops and refections…just so gorgeous. It should be on a postcard! –Lisa
Thank you. I will play around with that idea 🙂
