Giving Thanks

Even though I may (may? I do!) grouse about many things and people I am thankful for much.  The usual suspects are on the thankful list like roof over head, being able to see and hear and speak, having a messy kitchen which means I am cooking food, being able to pay bills and my health.  But I’m also thankful that I am able to be a photographer and see and capture the world in many ways, that we are able to help others even when they don’t ask for assistance, we are safe and warm, and to pray for others.  That what family I have, no matter how much they drive me batty and there are times I’d like to just ship them off to a cave somewhere and leave them there, they are family and that is reason for thanks.

And that I have old friends, new friends and virtual friends.  Happy Thanksgiving to those who are about to stuff themselves and to you who don’t, have a slice of pie anyway 🙂

(Note: The little guy is a bit miffed that his step-sister has hit a growth spurt and while younger than he is she’s now taller.  We keep reminding him that girls sometimes grow faster than boys but that boys catch up later and pass them)
