Back in time to just a few weeks ago in Overton, Nevada. It was beautiful, it was awe inspiring, in some areas it was incredibly still and peacefull; it made me think about this planet we are on and how it has changed over thousands and thousands of years. This is from the other side of the park (other? there are lots of sides to it!) closest to the Lake Mead area. Driving through there was an experience at night!
Just a bit of a teaser from the Valley of Fire State Park. I had a horrific day yesterday with schedules totally mucked up and my day starting out with a dead car battery on a crisp 5 degree morning. But I did get it fixed and made it to my Lightroom class where I learned some new things. Time to practice the new techniques I’ve learned 🙂

Pretty photos here… I am hoping that just looking at your photos made you feel better about your cold morning start. Brrr… brrr… brrrrrrr……… !! Glad your battery is fixed now so you can drive all around to take more great photos!! 😀
Thanks! I’m pretty much staying in unless I have to go out although it’s warmer today…the 20’s! Woo Hoo!
Cold here as well…yes, practice and refine your skills.
There is always something to learn and improve on 🙂
Nice shots…Gosh, the desert has its own kind of beauty.
And the variety! Will be showing some of that soon 🙂
I remember when we moved from the Chicago burbs to Las Vegas and laying eyes on those red rocks the first time….. amazing.
Beautiful captures. One of these days I may take the plunge and start using Lightroom. Stay warm 🙂
PLUNGE!!!!! We are going to be a toasty 40 soon 😉
