At the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas they have many things related to Venice including the indoor and partially outdoor gondoliers. And while I’ve never taken a ride with one, it is interesting to see them and even more so to hear some of them. I’m not sure if all of them sing but a few did while we were there and they had voices worthy of any opera house; the acoustics in that enclosed area were fantastic. I wanted this image to look more than just as taken so I decided to convert it using Topaz Simplify to make it look more like a painting.
While it’s no Botticelli’s Birth of Venus 😉 how do you think it turned out?
We went shopping in the Venetian on my last trip there. Such a beautfiul hotel to walk around. Love the image Teri.
Thanks 🙂 You can get quite tangled up walking through those mega hotels.
This came out really nice. i had to read the text a couple of times to see if it was a painting or a photo. A bit of each, I guess. Great! Wait, he seem’s to be “running empty” – no passengers. You were not up for a ride?
I wanted to try once a long time ago. Now I think it’s just another way Vegas takes your money 🙂
Oh wow, this turned out beautifully! I love the vivid colors!
I was pleasantly surprised by how great the conversion went 🙂 Thanks
I love how this looks! 🙂
Thank you. I think it looks way better than the original image.
Love it! I like the result and it does look like a painting..I will take a look at this topaz..I was bit in doubt before….
Thanks 🙂 You have to experiment with all of their settings to get what you want but it is an easy program and you get a 30day trial with them!
