I found this “camper” at a car show held here in Ohio a few years ago. The sign in the window says it is a 1967 VW Beetle with a bought pop up camper accessory. Which begs the question: Why??? 😉
(If you haven’t done so already, don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a Black Rapid Kick Pink Camera Strap here . Thanks)
I counter with the question… why not??
Considering the width of the VW it would be solo camping or maybe two who like being very very close 😉
When you’re young? Hell I camped in a morris minor with a girlfriend when I was younger
Wow! You win the camping award for sure.
Cool!
Definitely different!
Camping knows no bounds…In addition to the obvious, I see additional issues with this setup…
Like?
The wind resistance with a 36 HP VW engine – and potentially covering up of the air vents for the air cooled engine, plus the strength of the roof to hold the campers…just the few that came to mind…
Those are a few good points 😉
Yeah,.. This wouldn’t work for me.. My idea of camping these days is a renting a 4,000 square foot cabin in the woods with an indoor pool and maybe a jacuzzi. Of course the cost is split three ways with other families lol. In all seriousness though, I could see the appeal if it were say me and two other guy friends hitting the road. But I would just bring some tents!!!!
My idea of camping is making a hotel reservation! LOL
We do see some pretty strange things out here that have us scratching our heads. Perplexed one must ask “Why”?
I can imagine you see some doozies!
wow.. ok.. wow.. c
Yep! 🙂
That’s a smart system but I am not sure it will be comfy enough 😀
I wouldn’t even want to try! lol
That is so cool 🙂
It is different that’s for sure!
