“Labor Day in the United States is a public holiday celebrated on the first Monday in September. It honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country. Wikipedia” Many think of it as a welcomed 3 day weekend from work as well as the last big holiday and cookout before everyone has to return to school; the unofficial end of summer fun and the wearing of white. That fashion rule bit the dust a long time ago ;
So let’s get our party on for the waning days of summer and have a great weekend!

Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend! The rest of us will be laboring….
Thanks and you’ll come up for a break in there somewhere I’m sure 🙂
Great dance shots! Have a great weekend!
And I was right in there with them 🙂 Happy weekend to you too!
“…dance dance Dakota dance all around the country…” Fun street dancing.
Have to love festivals with danceable music but I’m not getting your song reference.
“Dakota the Dancing Bear” by David Allen Coe. I know it’s a bit obscure “cause my long hair just can’t covering up my redneck”. “But you don’t have to call me darlin’, darlin’, you never even called me by my name!” Ringing any bells?
Not a single ringle.
Look up “Long Haired Redneck” and “Never even called me by my name” by David Allen Coe. Great songs. He’s one of the few country singers I really like. His song “Time off for bad behavior” has one of the best lines I’ve ever heard in a song.
Four women, one man dancing…that’s about right…
Most of the little break dancers were little guys and the guy in grey behind Mr. Spin was dancing 🙂
Beautiful! Hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! 🙂
Thank you. Hope yours is wonderful too 🙂
What a wonderful series and a happy one too! Wishing a great long weekend and dancing away I am sure! 🙂
Thanks. I’m trying to wrap it up but I had so much fun. I might stretch it into next week a bit 🙂 Oh yeah! Dancing!!!
Have a wonderful holiday!
I never understood half the holidays when living there. What’s the white history for the wearing of white do you know?
Just one of those everybody knows it but not why kind of things. Other than that it seems to be something involving the class system and fashion mags.
Right. I’m determined to find out now!
Good luck! I wasn’t able to find anything concrete so let me know if you do 🙂
I’m ready. My 6 year old grandson taught me the Nae-Nae. I’ve got it going on, Baby. Have a great holiday weekend.
You too! I hope to do it with my grands soon but in the meantime I’m working on my comic con outfit for this year.
