Looking down to see what’s up

So what is going on here?  I was looking down at the creek from the bridge we were on when I noticed all of the layers before me.  The shale at the bottom of the creek along with the leaves that had sunk and were adding to the silt, the leaves and twigs that were floating on top and the reflections of the trees and the sky in the water.
