Christmas Night

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We had a great time scampering down the stairs in our flannel jammies to see what was  underneath the tree.  OK maybe not quite scamper but we did eventually get up and go downstairs.  DH made the nerdy girl in me very happy with some Doctor Who items and a cute little sunflower toy that sings the theme to Plant vs Zombies.  I got him a bookshelf for his new home office and a funny t-shirt.  The best part of Christmas morning though was Skype time with my son and his family; happiness is watching the grand kids open their presents and squeal with delight!

And then we took each other to a late night movie – late as in we didn’t get home until it was Boxing Day, the 26th.  We finally got in to see the new Star Wars movie.  It was pretty good!  I wore my Darth Vader sweater and DH wore his light saber shirt 🙂  But I couldn’t resist taking a photo with this guy in the red suit sitting in the lobby.

Awesome shot. It sounds like a great Christmas. My brother and sister in law went. She wore a shirt saying “I love you” and his said “I know” – lol

The best present of all was being in the new house – glad it was a wonderful day.

While being in the house was the best present it came in a very close second to seeing the kids open their presents like I used to see their dad do.

Good to see you out and about.
Our grand kids got us up or me to take photos.
We too went to see the new Star Wars movie. I’m still deciding on my comments. Fun but …..
    Happy New Year.

Thanks. It was a good movie but….yeah. Everyone sees things in their own way and Happy New Year to you too 🙂

        You’re welcome.
Maybe I wanted more plot and less effects. I was also left feeling a bit disconnected with the main characters not being introduced before – son of Leia and Hans – when did this happen – did I miss a movie? Oh, it’s in the books I didn’t read. Well…..

There were some unexplained things along with “just go with us here” things…bottom line? I want a BB-8!!! 🙂

Yes on “faith”. BB-8 was a more dynamic character than the other “robots”. Fun too.

I’ve been avoiding Star Wars for now until the frenzied crowds thin out a bit. Glad you enjoyed your day.

I had a good time and believe me if we hadn’t gotten in when we did waiting longer would not have been a problem!

That’s such a good poem! Like the bit about having to choose between hardwood floors and a fireplace…i
