2015 in review…

Well everyone, it’s the end of 2015 and it has been one giant roller coaster of the good, the bad, and the fugly!  Personally I’d like to get the fugly stuff out of the way so we can go out on a high note so I shall begin there.  This year has been a rough one for me health wise and I’ve spent more time in doctors offices than I have in a long time with today being let’s slide her in this tube that will give her a major case of claustrophobia and a mild anxiety attack; technical term for said tube is a MRI.  They didn’t even have the decency to have headphones with music just lame earplugs…and they wondered why my blood pressure was a bit high when they took it after the test.

There have been worrisome times with the health of elder family members who live in other states and my sister’s basement has flooded from the rising rivers in Missouri.  There has been entirely too much violence and senseless deaths in the world this year and there were some innocents taken from us too soon.  One of the artists at the local gallery I have my photography at just suddenly died with no prior signs of illness other than an injured elbow from falling from her bike.  Life is a precious gift meant to be cherished; please remember that no matter what your beliefs are about anything else!

But on the good side of things they found out what has been causing me pain from the MRI and we have a plan of attack to correct it – hopefully!  For our anniversary we went to South Beach and the sun, sand and empanandas were just what I needed.  The caipirinha’s didn’t hurt much either.  Only attended one Comic-Con this year but it was the best ever as the son, his wife, and frick and frack (grandson and granddaughter) came to visit us and we all went together.  Nothing like Nana and the two grands scampering around in costume to make for a fantastic visit.  Oh and we had a house built that we’ve been in for 3 weeks now.  Fancy that!

I haven’t been out taking photos as much as I wanted to but I did have two photos be chosen by Midwest Photo Exchange to be exhibited in their gallery for a couple of contests I entered and it was my honor to be the cover photo for the Islands of Grand Cayman tourist map for 2015.  I have plans for what I’d like to explore and photograph next year and I am believing I will be well enough to get out there and go snap happy!  Here are some photos from 2015 that I like and I think you have liked too!  Thank you all for following my blog.  I enjoy interacting with you and reading your blogs.  Many of you have become friends and one of my goals for the new year is to actually get out there and meet some of you…bail money on standby please 😉

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!  Have fun, be safe, see you next year.
