Hoodies

Well, to be more exact, hood ornaments.  No matter how fancy, shiny and fast (and darned expensive) modern cars can get, they just don’t have the allure of these vintage cars and their hood ornaments.  I’m so glad there are people out there dedicated to preserving these beauties.

They are beautiful. Love the old, vintage cars and their magnificent ornaments on top!
I also love old rusted trucks out in the desert! Their ornaments and grills may not be quite as shiny but they still have that fabulous appeal.

  2. Hood ornaments are so very cool. You’ve assembled a lovely collection here, Teri. Cheers!

  3. Stunning hood ornaments. Love em.

I get why they stopped making them but it is a shame that they had to

I’m not sure any cars have hood ornaments any more, except for maybe Mercedes. And those are uninspired.

When “sleek” became chic in car design, we lost so much. These ornaments were among the causalities. Miss them.
