A flowery metaphor for self esteem – Throwback Thursday

(This was first posted in July of 2014.  I’m re-blogging it today as I have to get up, out and going early so today is Throwback Thursday.  New stuff tomorrow I hope)

There are so many flowers in the world

and you are just one of them.

But much more than just are you

for you are beautiful.

So never compare yourself to others

because you are not them

nor are they you.

Smile and lift your head to the sun

and rejoice in your existence.

You have every right and reason to.

Peace be unto you – Teri

Flower 6271

Partially yes but unfortunately something is making me feel quite unwell. Think it was that grocery store salad bar 😦

Beautiful shot of the phlox, Teri, and message to go along with them. I hope your salad issues were short-lived and you’re feeling much better now.

Never ever ever going to that store again! Feeling much better thank you. So that’s a phlox, huh?

Glad you’re better. Funny how a touch of food poisoning can affect our opinion. Go figure.
Yes, it looks like phlox. There are 2 kinds. The one you captured looks like the tall one. The other variety stays very close to the ground creating a carpet-like spread of little flowers in the spring.

I can always count on you for flower identification and calamari 🙂
