Maybe toy store isn’t the proper adjective to use when describing my favorite photography store – Midwest Photo Exchange – but whenever I go there it is like a toy store to me. They have gear galore there. Camera bags from simple to serious hard cases. An entire section dedicated to lighting. The rental department for just about anything photographic you could ever want or need and of course the cameras and lens – new and used. Oh and a great and fun knowledgeable staff.
They are getting ready to move in a couple of weeks to their new digs where there will be more space (does more space mean more goodies???) and better parking (thank goodness because the current parking bites). Plus their learning studio, where they have all sorts of photography related classes, will be in the same quarters as well. One stop shopping and learning; works for me! Now I just need to figure out how to get to the new place.
This is not a sponsored post, just sharing some photos I took at the store after they cleaned my camera’s mirror which is something I do not have the nerve to do myself. I now know never to wear a certain shirt when changing lens 🙂 Have a great weekend everyone!
Looks amazing !! Love this glimpse of your world !!
I didn’t even get into how I goof off with my fave sales people there! Ain’t no fun if you can’t laugh some 🙂
Absolutely ! Have a beautiful day !
You too, my friend!
The toy store analogy is quite apt – whenever I go into a camera store I just want to buy the whole lot and take it home! 🙂
Oh I do so understand! I want to play with all of it first and then make my want to buy list 🙂
and it’s always a long list, isn’t it? 🙂
Why do they do this to us? lol
Cruel – isn’t it?
Very cool. I think Camera & Darkroom is the only photo equipment and supply store we have left in Albuquerque.
Bummer! Well, if interested, they do ship anywhere in the U.S.
I’m familiar with them.
Oh good 🙂
Me want!!!!! What kind of shirt or material should we avoid ?
Me too! Terry cloth is the bane of my lens changing existence!
Gotta love it – I am in need of a new camera and I hope to find a “toy store” like this one!
It would be great if you could but I’d be happy to lend you mine 🙂
Thanks, I am envious of your collection but is way more than I could handle.
I wish we had a store like that nearby here. I’d be spending a lot of time . . . and money there.
I’m probably doing enough for the both of us LOL
