I’ve always wanted one of these! They just scream “coolness!”
They scream the 60’s and hippies and other stuff to me… 😉
I bet! Did you sport the hippy look?
I wasn’t old enough to be a hippy but mom did let me get away with wearing some of the clothing of that time.
I was going to say… You would have been a baby, right? I remember looking at old pictures of my mum with hair down to her waist, tie dye and hipsters!
I wore the huge huge bellbottoms (now called flares) with peace symbol patches on them and crop tops.
You were always stylish! Although, you wouldn’t catch me in a pair of bellbottoms now! I’d look like a right wally! 😳
Cool, groovy and In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida baby!
Born to be wiiiiiiilllllldddd!!! Far out man 🙂
“Flowers and beads are one thing
But having…” a VW Microbus “…is something!”
They had their moment in the sun didn’t they? The owner said they got it from California.
On such a summers day!!!!
These were indeed quite cool. My parents bought the camper version in 1972 (the model had changed quite a bit) and we went on camping trips all over the province of Quebec for 4 years then they sold it…It was quite a lot of fun but not in a beatnik kind of way! (Suzanne)
But I bet you have wonderful memories of it 🙂
This a dream van. Every time we see such beauty our eyes pop-up 🙂
Thank you. It was lovingly restored by its owners.
I bet this pic garners more smiles than almost all of your other captures, Teri. “Van is rocking”, indeed!
The one owner said when they drove it back from Cali. their little girl said the curtains had holes in them. What it was they were so dry rot that the wind was disintegrating them 🙂
Love the title! The 60’s are back!!
In some ways they never quite left. Have you seen some of the trending fashions? LOL
Scooby Doo where are you?
