This little fine crafts gallery was situated in a very interesting spot. Bigger buildings were on either side and behind it but check out the two spiral staircases; one in front and one behind. I wonder in what year/s they were put in place?

Reblogged this on ESPILIAUSSHHEGUM.
I like the how the glass in the door looks cracked. The spiral staircase adds a nice shape to the composition.
I had to go back and zoom in on the door. It looks like it might be a decal or some sort of stained glass effect. I’m not sure where the staircase in the front goes to but the one in back connects to the balcony with the flowerpots.
Maybe all she could afford was a spiral staircase part-way to heaven? Or maybe that’s all she needed if the roof of the green building with the red door is heavenly. 😉
There was this old horror flick I saw once long ago where there was one of these staircases that went up to just the ceiling…who knows!
Anyone going to the top of a staircase in an Alfred Hitchcock movie was asking for trouble.
It was in the script…they had no choice! hehe
Great find!
Thank you 🙂
I love spiral staircases – very envious.. c
I love to look at spiral staircases but don’t like to use them. Rented a flat with one and it was a bit of a hassle — especially after a night on the town.
