Yet another bit of proof that proves you never know who or what you may come across when out with a camera. They stopped and we chatted for awhile after I pointed right at “Sam Elliott” and told him I loved his mustache. Turned out he’s originally from northeastern Illinois. No idea where they came from or where they were going but it made for some great western captures and a few laughs. This was also the first time I had ever seen a mule outside of a book or movie. All of the steeds were beautiful… and the humans were pretty cool in their western wear.

That mustache made him what he is today, second is that deep voice of his. Epitomized by his “Ram Tough” commercials. 🙂
He is the penultimate tough cowboy type in my opinion.
Never seen a live mule? Interesting. I’ve ridden some pretty ornery mules in my day. We also had donkeys when I was growing up. They can be ornery as well. Good shot of the cowboys.
Thanks. Even though I grew up in Missouri where the state animal is the Missouri mule, never saw one till here. There weren’t any offered for riding where I used to ride.
You probably don’t find many mules available for joy riding.
Did ride a few horses with seriously bad attitudes.
Double their bad attitudes and you have muletude.
