They are blooming again

Bradford pear trees have lovely shaped leaves that turn a beautiful shade of red in the fall.  But in spring they burst forth with many delicate white blossoms – that stink!  How could something so pretty be so smelly?  Mother Nature has a strange sense of humor.

(Photo obviously taken in 2012.  If the weather cooperates I may be able to get new spring flower photos soon-ish!)

  3. Wow, that is stunning. Some flowers can be rather pungent smelling. I guess that must attract something or other. Safe to say that you won’t be using it as potpourri.
