The Strand Theatre

The Strand Theater is a movie theater located on  East Winter Street in downtown Delaware, Ohio.  Opened in 1916, it is the tenth longest operating movie theater in the United States.  Notice anything interesting about the marquee? I thought that was great…

Air conditioning, and kids’ shows on one side and “No kids show” on the other. That’s a long running movie theater.

Yes it is and you caught it! We want to go see a flick there one day just for the experience.

We don’t go to movie theaters. The last few “experiences” we had we’re enough to say “no more, no more!” I haven’t watched a movie in over two years now. Don’t have time.

Other than the occasional twit on a cell phone we’ve had good experiences at the movies. The popcorn is my weakness and the reclining seats now.

Thank you and you are most welcome. Wandering around a town can lead to some interesting finds 🙂

I can’t imagine watching a movie in a theater in summer without AC. Cool looking place.

Once upon a time there was no air conditioning anywhere. Don’t want to imagine those days in all of this heat and humidity.

I love old theatre signs. They really had character.
