Photo Safari – The Ostrich

These ostriches were some characters.  Did you know what their eyes are bigger than their brains?  And of all the animals that came close to our bus, these big birds were the only ones who got right up to and into the bus as they were trying to grab anything shiny such as cell phones.

Someone did lose a lens hood that day.

The first time I saw one up close and personal – he was blocking my car! I never realized just how large they are.

Wonderful shots! They must be a male ostrich, though. Most of the time our eyes are definitely LARGER than our brains! LOL! Thank you for sharing!

Ever eaten Ostrich? Kinda of tasted like chicken! 😉

Lol! Eyes bigger than brains! I read something before that said the pigeon brain is the smartest brain. I will never use the term pigeon brain to identify a brainless or hare brained fella anymore.😆
